Getting Started

Setting up your Loops Lab Stage is easy! Just follow the step-by-step instructions in the quick start guide right here, or you can use the one included in your Stage box.

An internet connection is required for initial setup, downloading new content, and updates. Once downloaded, many features are available offline.

Using the Loops Lab App

The Loops Lab app is available on both the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). Simply search for "Loops Lab" and download it to your device.

To ensure the best experience, the Loops Lab app must remain open in the foreground. This allows it to sync with the Loops Lab stage, ensuring all interactive features are active.

Troubleshooting

  1. First, ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device and that the app is open in the foreground.
  2. Make sure the stage is on and is "Ready to Connect" (refer to the setup guide for illustrations of stage modes), at the same time the app is "Searching for Stage".
  3. If your app still doesn't connect to the stage, try quitting and restarting the app.
  4. Make sure there is no other device connected to stage.
  5. make sure you gave the app permission to use bluetooth

  1. Make sure your smart device's volume is up.
  2. Make sure the app is open and active on your screen. The app's audio does not work when the app is minimized or in the background.
  3. If using a bluetooth speaker/headphones, make sure the device's volume is up.

  1. Make sure your battery bar has more than one red light on. If the battery is low or empty, charge your Stage.
  2. If charging the battery didn't work, reset the stage by inserting a pin into the designated reset hole at the bottom of the stage.
  3. If there is no red light indicating that the stage is charging, keep it connected for at least 10 minutes. If the light still doesn’t appear, please contact support for further assistance and we’ll help you sort it out.

This indicates low battery levels, please charge your stage.

The Stage itself does not connect to speakers.
All sound comes from your smart device running the Loops Lab app.
To use a Bluetooth speaker:

  1. Connect your smart device to a bluetooth speaker.
  2. Open the Loops Lab app.
  3. Connect to your Stage via the app as usual.

Your smart device will play the music through the connected bluetooth speaker.

  1. Make sure Loops Lab is allowed in your iPad's Screen Time settings:
Open Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions
Go to Content Restrictions → Apps
    Set Loops Lab to Allow
  2. If you use a VPN, filter app, or school/work profile, make sure Loops Lab is allowed there too.
  3. If it still doesn't connect, open the Loops Lab app and go to Help → Report an Issue right after the failed attempt.

Loops Lab is currently supported on iOS and Android tablets.

Amazon Fire tablets are not supported at this time, as they use a customized operating system that does not fully support the services required for Loops Lab to function properly.

The Loops Lab app is available only through the official app stores:

  • Apple App Store
  • Google Play Store

⚠️ Important: We are only able to provide support for the Loops Lab app when it has been downloaded from one of these official stores.

Apps installed from other sources (including sideloaded or modified versions) are not supported.

For the best experience, we recommend using a tablet with the following minimum specifications:

  • Operating System: iOS or Android
  • RAM: 6 GB or more (recommended)
  • Bluetooth: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support

Using a device that meets these requirements ensures smoother performance, faster loading times, and a more stable connection to the Loops Lab Stage.
